If you have never been to PorchfestKC make sure that changes next year. This annual event in the Valentine neighborhood of Kansas City is a blast!
This year, Cowtown Country Club joined in the festival fun and had a lively crowd assembled for our time-slot. Thank you, to the organizers, and everyone who stopped by our assigned porch. Because of the quick set-up and tear down at PorchfestKC we practiced at getting our gear ready double speed. It started raining almost as soon as we finished the last song in our set, so the practice came in handy. What's next? Up to date schedule available on our shows page.

The Walnut Valley Music Festival, affectionately known to its biggest fans simply as Winfield, has become a tradition for some of the club regulars. This year we loaded up the hatchback and headed to the Pecan Grove for some folk fun with a Cowtown Country Club twist. It was a packed weekend of jams with members of The Outside Track, late-night cook-outs, seeing lots of amazing musicians, and doing some playing of our own. We were surprised in our campsite by an impromptu recording session with Belfast Community Radio, archiving the festival. You can listen to our part of the session toward the end of this archive recording (around the 20 min mark). Another highlight was scoring a Saturday evening time-slot on the legendary Stage 5. We couldn't have asked for a better audience and were glad to connect with many of them on Facebook and back in Kansas City. All we can say is that we can't wait to go back! Don't let Winfield be the only time we see you! Check out the shows page for upcoming performances or contact us for bookings to get Cowtown Country Club at your next event, festival, or venue.
If living in the path of totality during the 2017 August eclipse wasn't enough, Cowtown Country Club was honored to play at an all-day eclipse private event in Richmond, MO. The eclipse made an excellent opening act! Do you want to take your party or event to the next level? Let us help! Get in contact with Cowtown Country Club on our booking page.
Well, we did it! Thank you to the amazing staff and owners at Bier Station and to all the people who came out to the very first Cowtown Country Club show. The positive response was overwhelming, and we can't wait to get back to rehearsal to work up more tunes for our next show. We hope to see you next time.

It may be hot out, but that won't stop the Cowtown Country Club from swinging. Today we hosted our first outdoor event complete with a full acoustic set and lots of cold beers. This private event in Waldo marks the first official gig for the Club Regulars as Cowtown Country Club and we are happy to announce we will do more shows in the future! There was even talk of turning the July Backyard Bash into an annual event – only time will tell. Audience favorites included a waltz version of "Peaches" by 90's alt-rock trio The Presidents of the United States, and a smooth "All My Exes Live in Texas" originally recorded by the legendary George Strait.
We are feeling ramped up for our upcoming public and private shows. Hope to see you there. Get info on our latest schedule on the SHOWS page of the site. |
